- <> I've got a weird problem. I have a directory which seems
- <> impossible to delete. I've tried dopus. It does the delete-operation,
- <> but afterwards the directory is still there. I tried to move it to ram,
- <> but that didn't work either (the dir was copied to ram, but not deleted from
- <> the hd.). Tried to delete it from dos. Got the message "directory not empty", even
- <> if it is. Even tried Disksalv without luck.
- <>
- <> I could of course rename the dir, and use it for something else. But because of this
- <> dir, I'm also prevented from deleting three other empty dirs, which this dir resides in
- <> (news/uunews/comp/sys)
- <>
- <> It would be nice to be able to get rid of it without having to format the entire
- <> partition. :-)
- <>
- <> Any suggestions?
-
- Sounds like you may have it assigned somewhere. Try this
- from a Shell:
-
- assign directoryname:
-
- Now try to delete it from the Shell with this:
-
- delete dirname/#? all
- delete dirname
